A TRAINING DESIGNED FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED TRAUMA
The Crossover Yoga Project’s Trauma-Informed Training is an engaging and respectful approach that demonstrates the importance of recognizing how trauma manifests in the body and mind, and to offer tools to support a healthy well-being for every body.
Often, symptoms of unresolved trauma appear as anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and difficulties maintaining healthy relationships. Participants are equipped with tools to help their clients build resiliency, establish greater self-regulation, and feel safe in their bodies.
I didn’t want another day to go by without thanking you for what was a truly informative, insightful and enlightening training. You shared a breadth of knowledge that is so vital in my learning about trauma. The afternoon gave me a clearer understanding of how to help myself so I can help others in my work. I thought that the pace of the day — the reading, our discussions, interactive exercises, yoga and the sharing of our personal anecdotes — exceeded my expectations. As a facilitator, you provided a calming and soothing voice which opened up a space to feel relaxed and eager to embrace the learning. I’m on my way to incorporating some of the exercises as a teacher and my work in the area of community education in the area of mental health. – Shari Applebaum
A trauma informed approach is engaging, respectful, and recognizes the importance of dealing with the cause, not just the consequence. It offers people assistance wherever they are. When a sensitive, trauma-informed practice is provided to others, they are empowered. They have tools to feel stable, gain self-esteem, and have healthy relationships.
